November 7, 2018 at 6:41 pm #452910Hi, I am wondering if it is possible to have a link to each separate CPT search window. This would be instead of the user having to change the CPT in the search area — so instead of a general search function there would be a link to each separate directory. Thank you!! November 7, 2018 at 7:28 pm #452923Hello Kathy, If I understand you correctly, then you are wanting to link to each of the CPT listing pages. For example Places -> /places/ On each CPT listing page the CPT selector is set to the same CPT as the page. I that what you are looking for? November 7, 2018 at 11:24 pm #452953Hi, I attached the different search windows — I am wondering if you think it is possible to link directly to each of these instead of having to choose which one you want as the only way to get to the right directory.
eg. if you have some examples of how different people have dealt with this it would be great to know.Thank you!! Are you saying you want to provide a link because the CPT select is not good enough? So, if they click the link, it would change the CPT selector and so change the search form? Am I understanding correctly? Did you need more help with that? /events/It is not possible to create a link that will change the CPT selector to one or the other selections with a menu link. If you need hands on help with customizations contact a GD Expert here: https://geodirectoryexperts.com/experts/ November 29, 2018 at 2:49 pm #456370From one of your earlier responses I thought maybe this would be possible. In lieu of being able to link to each of the CPT search windows, I am wondering if there is some way to display the five CPTs all at the same time in the window so that the user can choose which one by seeing them all. The concern is that initially it is not obvious that you need to scroll through to find the appropriate CPT. It is unusual to see so many search windows at once as it is. So just like the check box option for categories when filling in a form, can there be a check box list of the CPTs in the first search field? Is there anyway to list the five CPTs so that they are all showing at the same time? I know with the Map, they are listed going across the bottom of the map. I look forward to your comments and suggestions. Thank you!!! November 29, 2018 at 3:23 pm #456377There is custom CSS on your site that has blocked off the display of a ‘down arrow’ that should display on the CPT selector. I would recommend you remove that because it helps users understand there is a choice there, instead of text fill.
