July 30, 2019 at 1:10 am #500258It looks like you have set to only allow listings in your default region.
Check your settings at GD > Settings > Locations.
Let us know. ThanksJuly 31, 2019 at 11:41 pm #500648HI

August 1, 2019 at 12:58 am #500664Please share WP Admin credentials in a private reply so we can check your settings.
So, you have all set to multi? Country, Region, City?

If you do not want to show regions, then you can hide the display, but the system cannot work if you set to only allow listings in your default region California.
ThanksAugust 8, 2019 at 12:06 am #501902guust , i have some visitors from the philippines , if they dont put region in the form , their listing cannot happen. how do we disable requiring these fields?
August 8, 2019 at 12:08 am #501903Ive given my admin , please let me know how we can disable fields and why country is resetting on the map button after i import say a yelp listing.
August 8, 2019 at 6:04 am #501943Hi dee po,
Thanks for your reply. Each listing is required to have a city, region, and country. Not sure what you mean by “country is resetting on the map button after i import say a yelp listing” . Could you list the steps to replicate it?
August 8, 2019 at 6:27 am #501949This reply has been marked as private.August 8, 2019 at 9:49 am #501985I have no problem when I try to add a listing from the frontend.
ThanksAugust 11, 2019 at 12:45 am #502521Guust , that doesnt solve my problem , because the country is resetting and not allowing a save , i would appreciate it after spending money on your software to atleast get a workable solution from you or your team , assuring me that on your end it works doesnt help me when on my end it doesnt work. i will lose business this way.
August 11, 2019 at 2:20 am #502534You MUST set to multi region if you want users to add listings outside California. That is why the country keeps resetting, because your settings are restricting listings to California and therefore the United States.
The problem is because you are using OpenStreetMaps. Google will correctly fill regions for locations in the Philippines, but OpenStreetMaps is not as advanced and gives inconsistencies in some countries. But your users can manually type in a region if they like.
See more here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/google/#osmI suggest switching to the Google Map API.
Thanks
August 15, 2019 at 5:21 am #503188guust , google maps will cost an arm and a leg. i have bought your multi locations plug in , and im a bit dissapointed why we cannot disable regions , many people are busy and alot cannot even remember their region as in some countries it is not used commonly. just like zip codes for instance.
open map works but your fields are being forced on us your customers.
i am still wishing for a proper solution to this . i mean if it is written on php , there should be a disable feature for any field that we do not want to use , i mean not to sound rude but i hope u understand the frustration 🙁August 15, 2019 at 6:14 pm #503267Hello,
Regions are required, they are using in many ways and for many different features, every location has one so it should not be an issue.
If you are importing a listing and its not setting the right country then that might be a issue with the listing or with the location settings, is the map set right? if so you can just move the map and it will auto fill the locations in most cases.
If you let us know the url of the listing you are trying to import we will check if the issue is with that or not.
Thanks,
Stiofan
