Is there a shortcode that will create a listing page similar to the event category listing with a map specific to the listing below and a search bar? (example- https://stepoutbuffalo.com/events/health-fitness-4/)

    Hi there,

You can try using this shortcode https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#listing for the map and this for the event listing https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/event-manager-shortcodes/

Thanks but that doesn’t seem to work that well. The event category page shows, for the map, only the events listed on that page. The map and events separately shows all events on the map and the number of events selected in the shortcode in the listings.
The category works well but we would like to include category appropriate posts and ads on that same page.

    regards

    Take a look now.

Items that are paged (and part of the query) will also be shown.

Right now it shows a number less than 20 so it shows the same.

GD Listing has some paging options too.

That is true if you select a small enough group (category) like the category with only events.
If you put in categories that have 30-40 they all show on map but not on list.
    Take a look now.
    Suggestions?

You are saying there are listing that are not in the list?
Perhaps because the post_number is set to 20?

Right. We need to restrict both the listings and the map to certain criteria. If we show a limited number of listings then only the events in the next few days will show.
We don’t want hundreds of events showing on the map, many of which are months from now – that is not useful to our readers.
There isn’t any way to coordinate the map and the listings with short codes?

    Hi,

Supreme’s theme-compatibility file shows an example of how the shortcodes can be ‘coordinated’, if you are looking for an example.

Great. Any idea where I could find that?

    It is called : geodirectory-compatibility.php

    Here’s a link: https://github.com/GeoDirectory/supreme-directory/blob/master/inc/geodirectory-compatibility.php

It is inside the /inc/ folder
