April 25, 2014 at 6:23 am #751Hi,
Few hooks and actions are available to implement something what u are requesting.
I will add them in next release.

May 10, 2014 at 12:30 am #1637Not too sure whether this is related, but I can set up sub-sub-sub-categories, see http://goldroo.net/listing/trades/brickies/blockers/lego-blockers/girl-lego-blockers/ but a user can only choose categories for their listing, they cannot drill down to add to a sub-category.
Can’t figure out how to fix that (I really only want to have custom post types, categories and sub-categories, but tested with sub-sub-sub-categories).
Using 1.0.1 with GDF 0.0.2May 10, 2014 at 4:44 am #1648I have been playing a bit and the only way users can select a subcategory is to set the category-display-type in the custom fields of a post type to “checkbox”.
Some of the other options allow select a subcategory as well, but then it is restricted to one category only.
Only “checkbox” allows choosing more than one category, including subcategories.May 12, 2014 at 5:30 am #1790Hi,
Geodirectory supports custom post type and 2 level of categories in it. There are other way too where u can enable n level of cateogories on add new listing page but that will not work with GD system. Like u said u can create sub-sub categories just because wordpress admin allows that but GD system will support only Custom post and and 2 level of categories in it.
Please advise ?
Thanks
May 12, 2014 at 12:53 pm #1833Thanks Vikas.
GD actually seems to support categories as deep as WP allows, but then you cannot use some of the map features and ajax selectors.
So practically, you indeed can only use custom post type and 2 level of categories in it, which really gives you a 3 deep structure which should be enough.May 12, 2014 at 1:20 pm #1834Yes, Thanks for understanding how gd is compatible up to 3 level of categories. This will help others too, Really appreciated.

May 19, 2014 at 10:45 am #2502Hi,
Category top section is available now. Have u upgraded Core to the latest version ?
May 19, 2014 at 11:29 am #2507Yes, but that wasnt the question.
I did 2 requests:
1. I´d like have a widget to show subcategories (according to parent category) into listing top section like this geotheme site: http://www.babiesandtoddlers.com/group/group-activities/?multi_country=australia or this directory site: http://templatic.com/demos/directory/listingcategory/realestate/
¿Maybe add settings to GD > Popular Post Category widget?
2. I´d like have a widget for show categories and subcategories. Something like this:
http://templatic.com/demos/?theme=directory
or this
http://uouapps.com/wp/glocal/ (See Browse by Category)
These are 2 features very commons in Directory sites.
May 19, 2014 at 1:34 pm #2516Hi,

July 17, 2014 at 2:08 pm #8850Hi Amolin, Can you tell me if and how you succeeded in setting up GD like in
http://templatic.com/demos/?theme=directory
I’m quite new to GD and like to achieve a similar setup.
