Single geodirectory post on a wordpress page

    I would like to place one specific post from geodirectory on a word press page. How is that possible?

    I can use regular post features to display geodirectory content but it seems you can’t single out a certain post to be displayed with the tools that are available with wordpress. You can leave out some categories but that does not really help.

    Hi,

    Well if you make a new wordpress page you can use “post grid” and refer to a number of posts and this includes geodirectory. But I only want to show one specific post (or place as you might call it) from geodirectory on a wordpress page.

    This is possible in GDV1 with the gd_listings shortcode. The recommend way to do it is with categories, to filter by categories, so you would add a special category to the listing, then create a gd_listings shortcode to filter for that category. In GDV1 it can also be done with tags like this:

    It is a shortcode that can be added to any post or page.
    

    GDV1 is GeoDirectory Version 1, the current version available from WordPress.org
    

    GDV2 is the new version that is still in development but many members have chosen to start building new sites with it or to test converting their current GDV1 sites. GDV2 features many improvements.
