Hello,
I have tried to upload 200 new places to our directory (240,000 places so far), but the process became so slow that it chocked the site.
I terminated the process, but now the site is very slow. I contacted our hosting company they have informed me that there are sleeping queries in MySQL.
Have you guys seen anything like this before? And how can I fix it?
Thank you
Here is the notes from our hosting company:
One thing I am noticing is an excess of sleeping queries in the database dentalt0_live:

I have not seen that before.
How many listings do you have and what is your server specs?
If you provide wp-admin and cpanel details i will check things for any problems.
Thanks,
Stiofan

August 25, 2017 at 5:22 pm #392908hello,
You can run test today if the down time is minimal.
August 25, 2017 at 5:34 pm #392912ok i am going to run some tests now, please avoid the wp-admin area for a bit.
Thanks,
Stiofan
August 25, 2017 at 6:01 pm #392913OK i ran some tests (i have finished for now) and the problem seems to be with the “unyson” plugin, i am guessing something about it does not scale well, but here are some stats below on a GD page (some other pages were worse):
site load stats with unyson disabled:
78 queries
8mb memory used
0.66s SQL run time
1.84 total load time.site load stats with unyson enabled:
250 queries
32mb memory used
4.83s SQL run time
8.16 total load timeWhat do you use that plugin for? It seems to be a page builder?
If it were me i would make the pages, save the html and make static page templates of them, but it depends how much extra CSS/JS is required to load.Let me know ur thoughts.
Thanks,
Stiofan

Thank you. But I am confused as the site was very fast before I attempted to upload the new listings.
August 25, 2017 at 6:13 pm #392916When you say the “new listings” you mean all your GD listings or just that last 200?
I am just going by the evidence, that plugin does not seem to scale very well, maybe you can try asking them for support? Thanks,
Stiofan

August 28, 2017 at 5:10 pm #393252Hello,
I am 100% percent committed to resolving this issue I have 2 files that I need to upload to the directory. One of them has 50,000 records. so if you need to take the website down to test.
Please let me know and I will redirect the site to a temp page.
We love your Directory and would like to make it work for us.
