    A) I installed a WP + plug-in GeoDirectory and I dropped about 6.5k category, the page slowed by 90%, in the table wp_term_taxonomy -> taxonomy column is: gd_placecategory

    B) I installed WP, ​​I put exactly the same 6.5k category -> in the table wp_term_taxonomy -> taxonomy column is: category or gd_place_tags -> page works as it should.

    My server :

    1 vCore
    2,4 GHz
    2 GB RAM
    SSD 10 GB
    100 Mbps
    Local Raid 10

    Can you check the FTP details, is the host name just the site url? Is it SFTP? if so what port number?

    Thanks for the info. There are a few places we call all terms to get counts.
    Can you let me know why you have so many categories and what they are, maybe i can think of a better way to show the info?

    In Poland we have several administrative divisions. So voivodeships -> poviats -> communes -> towns – so many categories.

    Categories shouldn’t be used for locations. The system will not allowyou to add listings in any place other than the default location unless you install this: https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/location-manager/

    And it uses custom fields as locations not categories.
