Hi, I have found what seems to be a small compatibility thing with seo by yoast.
In the homepage title this appears & # 8 9 0 2 ; (I have seperated them with spaces. If not they display as a star) when yoast and the core geodirectory plugin work together.

I have now tested on two sites. Disabled all plugins except yoast and the core geodirectory plugin. Tested with different themes and ⋆ only appears when yoast is activated.

Looking at what it is going on I see.
    1. The title I include in yoast for the site does not get used even if I force rewrite titles.
    2. It only happens when I make the geodirectory page my homepage

The problem seems to occur when the home page is set as the geolocate page. Setting a static front page to the listings page also doesnt correct it.

I have looked in the database and cannot see this ⋆

I just wonder if you have found this before or is there a way to correct the conflict.
    Thanks
    Richard

I am guessing you have the star set as separator in the yoast settings at SEO > Titles & Metas > General > Title Separator.
Or did you enter the star at SEO > Titles & Metas > Homepage > Title template ?

    Hi,

that asterisc is probably what you have separator set in Yoast settings.

We would need to have a look at your settings to tell you more.

If you provide a URL and admin credentials in a private reply (only staff can read them) we will have a look.

    Thanks

p.s. I’m sure you didn’t do it on purpose, but there 4 identical topics from you in the forum. Next time please click the submit button only once.

Hi, First sorry it was a mistake to press the submit, I think my browser hung and I clicked severl times.
About the problem I encountered above. I debugged a bit more and found it was not the seperators. I selected others and the same problem persisted.

I then installed on a new domain the same set up with seo by yoast.

When the two work together I get this error. It did not occur immediately, funnily only after I tried to make the map width 100% in the widget.

Warning: call_user_func() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, class 'WPSEO_Option_Wpseo' not found in D:HostingSpacesusersitewwwrootwp-contentpluginswordpress-seoincoptionsclass-wpseo-options.php on line 48

Fatal error: Call to a member function clean() on null in D:HostingSpacesusersite.comwwwrootwp-contentpluginswordpress-seoincoptionsclass-wpseo-options.php on line 223

Only geodirectory plugins and yoast are active and it only works when I deactivate yoast.

I just wonder if the error message telly you anything.
    Thanks
    Richard

Hi, Just to save you time, it seems to have corrected itself. The error message is no longer although I still have a star.
    Thanks
