Hi, I’m struggling to get the Social Importer plugin to post anything. It pulls information down from Facebook for anything I add, but doesn’t post the addition back to my page timeline.

I’ve tried numerous times, but I’m wondering if Facebook has changed the way it deals with Apps now as I don’t recognise it from the last time I done one – granted, a while ago now.

Anyone else having issues or am I just missing a step somewhere?

Does the Social Importer not have it’s own Forum, too?

Hi Have you made a App for that on the facebook developer page? When not, You need to that first. It will take a 20 minutes to go true the steps. Finaly you will generate your ID what you need to fill in the social importer settings on your GD dashboard in WordPress. Now it will work.

Hi Nespainvest,
I have been through those steps. I have tried creating a Facebook App 3 times now. I get it to link and have the post to page dropdown selected to the right page, but nothing appears.

If your users can pull data from their FB into your GD site, then your app should be set up correctly there.
Have you selected your FB page at GD > Social Importer > FB > Post to page ?

There is no specific sub-forum for Social Importer (yet?).

Guust, yes, I stepped through all of it.

I still think Facebook have tightened up their Apps as it seems I have to submit it for some sort of approval now. I don’t remember having to do that before.

I’m getting a message (attached) regarding submitting for review and also the message indicates that “This does not let the app post to Facebook” at the bottom.

This was a problem with the new facebook permissions, a new social importer has been released to fix this.

I have done the update, I have created the facebook app id with this steps:

It doesn´t work for me
