    Hi there,

I only purchased Geodirectory a couple of days ago and I’m currently making a website in Spain using it but I’m doing everything in English. I initially thought that I would then pay a translator to put it all into Spanish but after a bit of reading around on here I can see that it’s possible to translate automatically using various software/plugins that i’m not familiar with at all. It’s very important that the Spanish version of the site is in perfect Spanish with no errors, I can’t have a google translated site or other robotic version. I’ve seen that there are people on here who have /are very kindly made translations for different themes and plugins. Given the needs for my business outlined above, what would you recommend that I do? Continue as I am in English and then worry about translating it after with the software or translate everything manually if I need it in perfect Spanish? Is it possible to translate every aspect of the themes and plugins used here?
I’m using the framework theme, CPT plugin, payment plugins and reviews/ratings plugins.

    Many thanks in Advance.

If you want your site to be in more than one language, you will need the WPML plugin. The translations themselves are not done automatically, but the translation files will allow visitors to switch languages.
    Some useful resources:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/category/translation/
    https://wpml.org/

Let us know if you have any further questions. Thanks.

    thanks for your reply Guust.

I looked at those pages and tried using Poedit but I don’t think it worked properly. I don’t have the WPML plugin installed (could that be why?) And doesn’t Poedit translate automatically?

There is no plugin that translates automatically, you need to add the translations.
Translations will work without WPML, but then you can have only one language.

If you explain exactly what translation did not work, and post your URL and admin details together with FTP details in a private reply, then we can have a look at your files.
