Hello Support,
Some strings are not being translated. I’ve:
1) in poEdit I updated from the po file located at plugins/pluginName/pluginName-Languages
2) I’ve renewed license to update everything and redo 1) (this fixed some strings but not all)The strings appear in the po file, they just don’t translate -or- partially translate (translate for a while for some weird reason).
At them moment I only see problems with geodirectory core and location-manager
Please see attachment, in this case “Everywhere” was translated and then got back to “Everywhere”
I’ll post access credentials on pmHope you can help me

July 11, 2018 at 7:12 am #4378561) in poEdit I updated from the po file located at plugins/pluginName/pluginName-Languages
Files PO and MO should be in
wp-content/languages/plugins/geodirectory-us_EN.po/mo(example)
wp-content/languages/themes/…po/mohttps://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/translation/overview/
Move all files you are using into that location. Incomplete translation means WP is getting mixed signals with files in improper locations.
July 11, 2018 at 3:00 pm #437977Hello Alex, thank you for the reply.
My translations are loaded in the proper folders:
Example:
wp-content/languages/plugins/geodirectory-es_ES.po/mo
wp-content/languages/themes/…po/moIt’s just some strings that won’t translate or are grabbing an old translation that was made.
To make sure I have the latest translation file I’ve updated es_ES.po from the en_US.po found in plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-languages (Catalog/Update from POT file) in my computer and the uploaded the es_ES.po/mo to wp-content/languages/plugins/geodirectory-es_ES.po/mo, as per instructions found in https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/translation/overview/
Attached a screenshot of a string that wont translate.
Wordpress getting mixed signals sounds like a cause, but not sure how to debug this. At some moment I installed loco translate plugin, but deleted it, it’s the only thing I can think of :S (installed to see if it could fix my problem)
July 11, 2018 at 3:27 pm #4379881) shows a gd core string saying “Cerca: Yo” (this means Near: I), I try to change it but not working
Cerca: Yo is already translated, so the issue is how to update it, yes?
That string is present in several PO files. It looks like you are using Supreme, so check for that string in that PO file.2) shows gd core string TIME that doesn’t translate
That looks like a custom field? See: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-custom-fields/
Other strings?
July 11, 2018 at 4:13 pm #438005Hi Alex, thank you for the effort.
1) string not present in Supreme… “Cerca: Yo” are actually 2 separate strings “Near:” and “Me”
2) Time is a default field, but yes, I can change that text right from Custom Fields Tabs! Please take a look at the screenshots, they show “Everywhere” string gets translated at the beginning as “En todos”, then, when selecting another location category, it goes back to “Everywhere”.
July 11, 2018 at 5:03 pm #4380181. Check in the Advanced Search Addon also, then.
2. Great!
3. Everywhere is in the core plugin.Do you still have Loco or another string translation plugin installed? It sounds like you either A) have a cache issue and need to turn off/reset/delete site cache OR you have another translation plugin loading older translations.
You can also check to make sure that all your translation files are up to date by merging with the latest EN translations that come with the plugins in the languages folder.

July 11, 2018 at 7:10 pm #438035Thank you Alex,
1) thanks, it was there!
3) its also translated there, still not working…I’ve cleared cache and cookies, also checked DB and there’s nothing related to loco or other translation plugin.
I think the problems relies in the GD LOCATION SWITCHER…also the “Select” string has this problem. I think it’s about the strings that gets reloaded when you click on Country, Region, or City…
July 11, 2018 at 11:29 pm #438042Hello,
are your trying to access ftp from Manchester?please see screenshot and tell me if its you!
I’m not server expert so I’m afraidthanks!
July 12, 2018 at 6:57 am #4380883. Then the Location Manager is the next one, it has ‘everywhere’ for the location switcher.
Other strings?
July 12, 2018 at 3:35 pm #438156Hi Alex, yes it’s translated in location manager too…as I said, the string translates and after switching locations (clicking Country or Region or City) it looses the translation. Also “Select”.
On the other hand, can you confirm if the above info is about one of your team was connecting to my site’s ftp? It says Manchester.
Thank you
July 12, 2018 at 5:33 pm #438169None of our team is in Manchester.
When I use the location switcher several times in a row it does not switch back to ‘Everywhere’.
Try clearing your cache.
