Sort option displays on desktop but not on mobile. Is sorting not supported on mobile?
September 13, 2016 at 4:45 am #265231Hi Ed,
I’ve just tested your Website and the sort option seems to work fine on my mobile. Here’s a screenshot for your reference. http://prnt.sc/chdr9p . Could you tell us a little bit more about your issue there?
Thanks!
September 13, 2016 at 5:42 am #265239Thanks Kor, confirmed as working. With apology, simply needed to flush my phones cache.
Thank you again.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve just asked my developer to check on this issue and we’re still unable to replicate the said issue. The dropdown sort menu seems to work fine on our end. Do you have another mobile or mobile browser to test this?
Thanks!
September 13, 2016 at 3:30 pm #265459Hi,
in the second case you are searching (I guess) and search results cannot be sorted.
Thanks
September 13, 2016 at 4:05 pm #265516Hi Paolo,
(I also addressed in mock ups just sent). To expand, the sort feature displays when you select a category from the Near Me header menu. (e.g. Smog Check). But does’nt when you select the same category from either the homepage category drop down menu or the category drop down on the listing page if that helps?
Thanks,
Ed
September 13, 2016 at 6:27 pm #265618Again, 1 is a catgeory archive and it can be sorted, the second is a category search (different thing) and it can’t be sorted. Mobile or desktop behave the same.
ThanksSeptember 13, 2016 at 6:49 pm #265637Thanks Paolo, really appreciate all the help.
(per the attached, few issues on landing display)
Also, a core intended feature of the directory is to display the categories sortable by price (e.g. gas, smog & parking prices by distance and price. (sorting by price). Works from the Near Me header navigation but (& as you explained) currently not possible from the home page categories display.
My question, can the categories used for the Near Me Header Navigation be utilized in some way by the homepage also? Then the sort feature would show no matter what way the user queried.
Thanks,
Ed
September 13, 2016 at 6:58 pm #265653You’ll need to replace the search widget with a category widget in the home too. Search result cannot be sorted. With the advance search filter you can search again using different filters.
Thanks

yesterday we hid the popular categories via CSS, instead you should have hidden the search form…
You can’t do this via drag and drop widgets, because there is no widget area there. It can only be done with code.
Thanks

Will you be able to help with this? I am user pressure to launch. Great progress has been made. But I am hoping you might be able to login and possibly correct the CSS to accomplish above. As is, simply doesn’t work as needed not showing the filter for prices. The hidden CSS also creates flashes of where the code has been hidden on home page landing, fields not centered correctly etc. As I shared, I can’t code per instructed and it can’t be launched in its current condition. Trying to avoid starting other support strings per your request. With all the requirements shared, I am thinking it may be quicker to adjust the code correctly vs. all the CSS patches and then we can launch.
Can you assist?
Thanks,
Ed
September 14, 2016 at 5:38 pm #266310Now in the featured area I’ve hidden the search form and I put back the popular categories, but I’m realizing now what you want are links to main CPT listings page (so they can be sorted) and not category links.
What I suggest to do is to look back at the code i provided to replace elements in the featured area and replace the popular category shortcode with the GD CPT Listings widget.
I understand that you need this to go online, but changing how the system works to personalize a member website is beyond support.
If you are not comfortable tweaking few lines of code, you should hire someone to help you out with things that are beyond your knowledge.
Thanks
