I keep getting ERROR: Invalid username.

I’m taking off for tonight, I’ve asked to Stiofan to look into this tomorrow morning. Please provide correct credentials.

    Thanks

As you can see, I am wrestling with it. I think (don’t know) GD inherited or cached some of the Supreme themes layout. If I could ask you to check all the settings are correct & I will leave it as set. Right now, nothing is really working. (e.g Themes menu on mobile is not responding) amongst eveything else you will see.

    Hi Stiofan,

Menu also stopped working on mobile devices (iPhone). Perhaps some conflict with GD naviation and the themes menu or the GD nav set up?

    Thanks,

    Ed

Your theme seems to be messing with the queries and preventing the advanced search filtering.
Did you change the whole theme because you could not get the homepage to look how you wanted?

    Hi Stiofan,

Yes, it’s our pre GD theme which was working fine. But now very messed up in format whatever was done? We are getting call after call with complaint. Why is now looking like this?

Update: had to deactivate all GD plugins for site to return to normal appearance and function. My question, can GD be used in a plugin capacity without overwriting a 3rd party (non GD) themes default layout.

My suspicion is GD has inherited the Supreme themes layout which is causing conflict. If so, without having to rebuild GD from scratch (custom categories, test listings etc). Can those theme files be deleted so the plugins will adhere to the theme in use?

    Thanks,

    Ed

Everything that is wrong is just wrong settings, but every time i go to check it, it has been changed. You should really be doing this on a dev site if you have live customers visiting just now.

If you like supreme theme i would recommend sticking with it, the front page is hookable and can be replaced with any content u want with a couple of lines of code.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

OK, so I switched back to Supreme. I had’nt messed with the settings but you are right, all should have be done on dev. Just did’nt realize it would get as complex as it did.

I am not sure want hookable means (my lack of knowledge) but I think you are saying the front page can become “regular” and I can work from there (not dominated by the search fields). If so, could I ask you to add those couple of lines of code and I can try it get back to normal. Otherwise, I was going to do a sub domain for the directory and stick with the other theme. But that is far from optimal too. If I can get Supremes front page to normal. Lets go with that.

    Thanks Stiofan

Actually, cancel that Stiofan. Putting Supreme on a sub directory to keep everything clean. Looks like a lot of work snapped with the theme change. So, I may as well just rebuild and keep both separate.

1,2,3,5 are all a modification of the search form, we don’t do customizations but it could be done by firing a function when the cat is change to then ask for the user location and then fire the search form, it’s not difficult work, you can try posting on our jobs section if you want.

#4 would require a little customisation but again i think it would be a case of changing a few lines.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
