Guys,

if visitors search on specific city’s we would like that the featured listings appear on top. So We added that possibility to the sorting options, placed it first and made it the standard view. But it appears to not work completely.

Have a look yourself:

This is the url after entering ALMERE as the city to search for.

The featured listing Yoga and ontspanningscentrum Almere shows only up on the second page.

Did we do something wrong?

Search pages are ordered by distance.
Sorting options in custom fields is for category/listings pages, like
https://iamyogi.com/leslocaties/alle-yogastudios/

You can also sort on the location/home template by ordering in the widgets for that template, https://iamyogi.com/plaats/almere/

A little addition.

Search page are ordered by distance when something is entered in the near field.

If nothing is entered there, the deafult sort is used.
