Sort Order Including "Null" Items

I’ve setup a number of different sort orders, including a Pricing field.

When I select the sort order: Price Low>High, the archive page resorts the listings.

However, those listings that have not provided any Price information actually end up ahead of those listings that have provided information.

I would think that the handling of listings in this case would either be one of two ways:

1) Sort based on criteria (including secondary sort criteria), excluding any listings that are null or empty for that criteria field.

2) Sort based on criteria (including secondary sort criteria), then include null or empty criteria field listings following those that do included that criteria, again based on secondary sort criteria.

Being placed “after all others” or not at all for a sorting provides a nice incentive for both including the additional detail (even for free listings) as well as upgrading to packages that include those additional fields.
