    Hi,

My company is currently in the process of attempting to move over to GeoDirectory on a ton of websites. We have obligations to paid advertisers and the like to display certain directory listings over others, and we are trying to figure out the best way in GeoDirectory to do this while keeping to a logical list order. It seems like using the “Featured” function will mostly do the trick, but the way that GeoDirectory sorts listings by default could be a problem for us.

Basically, we need to be able to add new listings (either featured or regular) and have them appear on the “Listings” page with the correct priority but all alphabetized correctly, A-Z. It seems that adding new featured listings now just sends them to the bottom of the “Featured” list, and I believe adding any additional listings will simply throw them into either the beginning or end of our current list. I have seen other threads related to this and I am a bit shocked that sorting by featured and alphabetically is not a function that exists, or that people are told to do some unruly things to achieve this. Why is it one or the other?

Is there code that I can implement to perform this change and have it sort consistently like this? Or a setting on the back end that I’m missing, perhaps?

Here is an example page: Click here

As you can see, I made the listing “Mozen, Neal A., D.P.M., F.A.C.F.A.S.,” featured after I imported all of the listings and it bumped it down to the end of the “Featured” listings. This listing should be placed alphabetically while still maintaining priority over the non-featured listings. Can this be done? Any help would be greatly appreciated with this, thanks.

P.S. I want to clarify that I am not referring to anything involving “sorting options,” like the drop-downs for sorting. I am referring to how the listings appear sorted on the pages by default, when you first enter that given directory.

    Hi Bart,

please open a support topic in the correct forum (pricing manager), using the account that purchased the add-ons used on your website.

    Thanks
