The fix suggested may work, but the issue is with GD Plugin, as other plugins related to imports of CSV files continue to work without error such as WP Import CSV, and more.

Will there be an update to fix this issue without relying on another plugin or update of WP?

Hi Jason,

WP broke it for thousands of plugins and themes, ones that are not broken are probably using a non standard WP upload and security checks, we will wait for WP to fix this as there are temp work arounds.
