thanks Alex,..
(i made some headway but far from what i want to achieve).
What makes this difficult is viewing the old ‘setup VIDEOS.’
I’m not sure the relevancy of these old videos and even NOTES from the site; the entire control panel has changed (trying to follow along but many functions are missing in the new panel.)
If you look at my home page now, there is 1 block for the entire page (map and places below). HOWEVER, IF you look at ‘directory starter’ theme, it has separated blocks. (see attached). I want it where the blocks are separated.
-How can i achieve that?
April 25, 2019 at 12:05 pm #482800PS. there is a Menu Search option; HOW can i get that inserted under-neath that Map?
Thanks!
April 25, 2019 at 1:45 pm #482821Hi Balkins,
Thanks for your reply. You’ll need to configure the homepage to use the “Full Width” page template as explained here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/themes/directory-starter/ . Then, on the homepage, insert the search form shortcode just below the map shortcode.

Have you given it a try?

If you are using Directory Starter, and want a sidebar for the detail or archive templates, make sure to choose the Default template as described here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/themes/directory-starter/#page-templatesApril 27, 2019 at 11:46 pm #483256What i would like my home page to look like (at this moment) is something like the ‘sample page.’ (see attached).
1. You see the Map is full width in the Top Frame
2. Below that you see 2 columns with the right side bar.I have tried several selections from the page options and none are working to get close to the posted image sample.
ANYONE know how to achieve the Image Setup?
Thanks
April 27, 2019 at 11:50 pm #483258Thanks Alex,…i tried the default Template and get only 1 section on the left. There is No full width map and no right column.
April 28, 2019 at 6:27 pm #483307If you also want top and bottom widget areas, then try the GD Page template as described on the page here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/themes/directory-starter/#page-templatesThe customizer has a setting to switch the sidebar from left to right. Maybe yours is set to left, at the moment.
If you set the page to use the GD Page template, and add content to the GD Sidebar, and also the GD Map to the top, then you will see what you are looking for I think.
If not then send a link and login credentials and we can check the problem.
April 29, 2019 at 9:59 pm #483580Alex,..the side bar is turned on to the Right, but there is NO side bar showing.
ALSO, i am using the GD Page Template.
I’m getting frustrated with this. From the Appearance > Widgets Area i get the following message. (see attached).
