Hi there,
Some of our posts show up with corrupted or unavailable images on the front end and back end. The issue with this is is that the back end interface has a script error on only these posts so we cannot delete the images to try and fix things… Some of the images will show on the front end.
This is what shows on the back end: http://bit.ly/1L0c79d – and here’s is the same post on the front end: http://bit.ly/1Mmg3yu
We’re running WP 4.2.2 and WPGD 1.4.5
Any ideas what the problem might be?
June 10, 2015 at 3:48 pm #42062Hi,
clicking on the backend on the place image text doesn’t open the media uploader?
Please provide a url and wp admin credentials and we will have a look.
Ultimately we might have to delete the image entry directly in the DB, so phpmyadmin url and credentials could help too.
Thanks

86 plugins installed and 60 active?
You are looking for trouble for sure… 🙂
I can’t debug that, it could be due to 1 of the 50 plus non GD plugin. In addition you should be working with outdated core and add-ons, it makes it twice as hard for us to support them.
I’ve asked to Stiofan to have a look at it.
Thanks
June 11, 2015 at 2:33 am #42175Hey Paolo,
Yeah I know, it’s a lot of plugins. Believe it or not, most of those are necessary though… It’s a big site with a lot of functionality.
I was wondering about the GD plugins being out of date causing an issue, but I looked through the changelog and didn’t see anything obvious that might have been addressed. I’d be happy to try and update things if you guys can’t find anything.
Do be careful with everything as this is a live production website. We’ve got backups, but still.
Thanks!

Thanks for doing that however this doesn’t really resolve the issue on the back end or how to prevent or fix these posts with broken images. I still cannot remove the broken image and the back end WP administration edit interface is still locked up with the script error for these posts. Any other suggestions or ideas for what can be done?
Thanks,
– JonahJune 11, 2015 at 3:23 pm #42224Hi Josh,
Please clear ur browser cache and then on a place with a broken image try draggin one image to the front, this will replace the featured image and should solve that side.
As for how they are becoming broken, i have not seen this, do you have any details on how we can replicate this?
Thanks,
Stiofan
June 11, 2015 at 3:31 pm #42225Hi Stiofan,
Do you mean drag an image in on the front end editor or back end? It looks like that post got fixed and I’m not sure if there are any others. I don’t have any details on how to replicate but I’ll try to get more info for you.
Going forward can you let me know the js change you made so I don’t overwrite this the next time I update everything?
Thanks,
JonahJune 11, 2015 at 3:36 pm #42228Yeah i fixed ur example post, i mean from the backend but it should also work from the front. The files affected are geodirectory-plupload.min.js and geodirectory-plupload.js
Let me know if you find any more info about its causes.
Thanks,
Stiofan
