    Hi,

When a user is signed in, on the right hand side, the ‘add listing’ option has no options, if that makes sense. Also the ‘My favourites’ and ‘my listings’ options which appear to me beneath this when logged in as admin don’t appear when logged in as a normal user.

Also, people seem to keep registering with their email address as their username on my site, which seems to be causing problems when adding listings, as they never make it to the payment stage for some reason. Either this is coincidence or not, but the last 2 people to try to post have both had issues and both had to be dealt with manually. Is there a way to solve this?

    Thanks 🙂

The registration problem is because you have three different login systems going: bbpress, buddypress and GD.
    Have a look here:
    http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/redirecting-the-login-page/

The add-listings are in the dashboard widget but your CSS is hiding it.

Hi, it’s an overflow issue as far as i can see, i added the fix to your child theme CSS file but there is some sort of caching which is stoping it from showing.
    the fix should be

    #right-sidebar .geodir-loginbox-list{overflow:visible;}

    Thanks both

I did the registration fix guust recommended, can’t visually see any differences, but I guess it must have done something?

The css has been fixed by asking the host to purge the cache, thank you for suggesting that. 🙂

You’ll see the difference if you logout and try to add a listing from the main menu.
I think the cache problem is because you are using a varnish plugin.

I’ll set this to resolved, just let us know if there is anything else.

    Thanks Guust

I’m kind of concerned something isn’t working right somewhere, but I can’t see any evidence of any problems myself. The reason I say this, I’ve been doing a lot of advertising and offering a 50% off code this week for all directory listings, but not one person has listed.

This is despite several people who said they were very interested registering (I’ve seen their registrations come through both using the social media login option and manual) and then nothing…

I did get one listing come through without payment, so not completed. I notice the listing comes through via email before payment is made, so obviously something failed with the payment part.

If I create a code and post it below which will give 100% off a listing price, would one or two of you guys be able to test that the listing process is working properly please?

Perhaps this is more of a layout issue than a technical one? Is my site too confusing to the visitor or something? I find it hard to believe not one person has listed and paid with the amount of shouting about the code I’ve been doing this week. I also had one guy tweet me when I asked if anyone had had problems saying he had, but couldn’t remember where or how..

Just realised, a 100% off coupon overrides the paypal option completely, so can’t test that way…

A solution could be to create a price to test for $0.01 or pounds or whatever currency and submit a listing for that price, go through paypal payment and see if everything works as expected.

    You will only lose 0.01

    Thx
