on the home page, http://www.herb.the-county.ca in the bottom left of the map, you see the map key. Currently it’s only showing beaches, but the box has a title that it seems you can change from the front end. Can I change this and make it so that It cannot be changed on the front end please
January 13, 2015 at 2:08 pm #27356sorry, bottom right of the map
January 13, 2015 at 2:14 pm #27359🙂
this is a search field…in there people can input their keyword.January 13, 2015 at 2:27 pm #27362it doesn’t come across as being a search field as it says title. can I remove it then please?
January 13, 2015 at 2:29 pm #27363to remove it add the following to the style.css inside your child theme folder
.map_category input[type="text"] { display:none; }January 13, 2015 at 2:33 pm #27364thank you so much. I am still not getting this image sizes on the listings. I have just uploaded an image size 2984×1932 and on the listing icon the image is tiny. what size do my images need to be to be the same size as Buddakan on your demo site please.
January 13, 2015 at 2:42 pm #27366also is there anyway to remove the review tabs on listings please. when you click into a listing there is a tab called reviews that I would like to hide if possible
January 13, 2015 at 2:51 pm #27368Buddakan has an aspect ratio of 3:2 (resolution 580x386pixels) while your image is 1.54:1.
To make your image 3:2 change it to be 2984×1989.
Use this tool to find the correct 3:2 aspect ratio resolution.January 13, 2015 at 3:04 pm #27369there must be another way, I changed the image and now it’s 1.2mb in size. this is not a good size for web images.
could you please help me get rid of the review tab
January 13, 2015 at 3:11 pm #27370Well, optimization of the image is a must..you can downscale the image keeping the aspect ratio, for example make it 1280×853 and save it for web, in jpg.
To exclude the review tab go to the geodirectory settings, then design, then Details tab, and exclude the review from the dropdown (there is a field called “Exclude selected tabs from detail page”)
January 13, 2015 at 3:17 pm #27371well changed it to 1280 x 853 and its still a small image when you click the icon.
January 13, 2015 at 3:32 pm #27372Don’t know then, sorry 🙁
January 13, 2015 at 3:53 pm #27374so there isn’t a setting in the system somewhere to tell it what size to show when you click an icon?
January 13, 2015 at 5:06 pm #27384Hi Micheal,
the system crops pictures shown in the map info window. There is no way to do what you are looking for, because you are uploading portrait size pictures, while the map bubble crops them as landscape pictures.
Just edit them with Photoshop or similar photo editing tool to look exactly as you wish BEFORE uploading them.
That is the only way tyo achieve what you are looking for.
The system doesn’t provide an option to show a custom size in the info windows, I’m sorry.
Thanks
January 13, 2015 at 5:23 pm #27389not all of the images are portrait, many of them are landscape. I edit all of my images before uploading and I have tried several different sizes and yet the theme or plugin still makes the map bubble image small. All I am trying to do is have a bigger image like your buddakan on your demo site.
