Sub Categories in GD Search

    Hi,
    I have a CPT with a sub category and a sub sub category.
    Is there anyway to extend the GD search and have a dynamic search?
    I mean to appear the sub sub category, only if the subcategory is chosen.

    Sorry but that is not possible.
    But if a user chooses a sub-category, then the listing will automatically be added to the parent category as well; a listing cannot be in a sub-category without being in the parent category as well.

    Ok. I also want your opinion in this thing. Let’s say I have a site with restaurants.
    I want to have the categories like Chinese, Mexican and each one of them should have subcategories like Chinese Restaurants -Thai Food
    -Shushi etc

    I can either have the previous structure with two ways.
    First I can have One CPT (Restaurants), Categories (Chinese, Mexican, etc) and Subcategories (Thai, Shushi, etc) or I can have CPTs for all the first categories (Chinese, Mexican, etc) and categories (Thai, Shushi, etc). Both solutions have some advantages and disadvantages. As for the SEO which solution would you think it’s better? Thank you

    I don’t think it matters for SEO at all, but your visitors will never be able to search all restaurants at the same time in their area, because you can only search one CPT at the same time.
