We are looking for a way to have GeoDirectory pull data from our Salesforce Contacts / Accounts to use as the database for listings (Places).

Web visitors can claim, update, renew their Geo listings (Places) and the updated information would be pushed to Salesforce.

Any recommenced applications or people to provide this integration support?

I recommend you build an app that will talk to the GeoDirectory API.

That helps and looks promising, unfortunately my know-how is very limited.

Any chance your team can assist with this or point to a resource that specifically helps build out an app for Salesforce <–> GeoDirectory?

I’ve read the “how to” and tried building it out but feels like I’m missing something.

Well, I don’t think what you are looking for exists yet, so, it will have to be built custom.

That said, if you write some code and the API is not working as expected you can always post back with a question and we will try to help you.

If you need hands on help you can contact GeoDirectory Experts here:

This is what we have on our Salesforce end:

    Provider Type Open ID Connect
    Name GeoDirectory
    URL Suffix GeoDirectory
Consumer Key Click to reveal (copied from GD > settings > API)
Consumer Secret Click to reveal (copied from GD > settings > API)
    Authorize Endpoint URL https://BlueBook.TDIforAccess.org/wp-json/geodir/v2/
    Token Endpoint URL https://BlueBook.TDIforAccess.org/wp-json/geodir/v2/

in GD, REST API is checked. Key is created, permissions: read/write

But when I go to ‘Places; I don’t see anything populated.

Oh, do they have a GeoDirectory integration?
    Those settings look correct.

Unfortunately you will need to contact your support for that app, though, in order to get help with the configuration.

Do I need to do anything on Geo’s end to tell ‘Places’ to pull data from Saleesforce?

GeoDirectory itself doesn’t have any features to pull data from remote sources.

What you are describing is a kind of ‘middleware’ app that will pull and push data to and from both systems. Neither Salesforce nor GD have an app like that out of the box, it is something new that will have to be built to match your specifications.
