I am using the Newspaper 7 theme, one of the most popular news style themes. I am having issues getting GeoDirectory to display properly. I noticed another thread where you sent another person instructions on how to setup GeoDirectory to work with this theme. I would like to have the same information sent to me so that I can use your awesome plugin with this awesome theme.
Thanks!

September 4, 2016 at 12:52 am #259305This reply has been marked as private.September 4, 2016 at 1:18 am #259340I added this to GD > design > scripts > css
.geodir-slides li { margin-left: auto;}
Your theme’s ul li CSS was creating the wrong side margin. Please check.

September 4, 2016 at 6:01 am #259422You’re welcome 🙂
September 5, 2016 at 1:13 am #259875Ok, so I found another issue that I can’t figure out. If you look at the bottom of this page, you will see that the geodirectory container does not go all the way to the footer. Instead, it stops about 15 pixels above and you can see the page background between the container and the footer. Can you advise on how to correct this so that the geodirectory container goes all the way to the footer.

September 5, 2016 at 1:21 am #259877Also, if you check this link, everything has went haywire on the listings page. The sidebar is now below the listing instead of to the right of it as before. I’m not sure what happened. I did have to do a restore on the development site this morning, and I thought I saved all of my settings, but apparently I have missed some. Can you please advise?

September 5, 2016 at 1:54 am #259880Add this
#geodir-main-content {margin-bottom: -20px;}
Have a look at this for future use: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/
I cannot quite find the error in the detail page, it seems a </div> is gone missing or something. I’ll get Paolo to have a look.
September 5, 2016 at 2:03 am #259881Thanks for the link to the article. I use Firebug and can generally sort out most issues. However, when it comes to Geodirectory nothing I do ever works.
your code fixed the issues at the bottom. I am also noticing that my left and right padding is off on my content area. Adding padding to #geodir-main-content doesn’t seem to work.
I agree with the missing div, but nothing was edited or changed so I’m not sure how it just disappeared. Please let me know when you find a solution.
Thanks!
September 5, 2016 at 2:28 am #259883Also, just so you are aware, the SiteOrigin CSS plugin doesn’t work on the listing detail page. I would assume this is because of the missing div. Probably, once we figure that out it will work.
I had this all up and running last night with relatively quickly only editing a few things. Not sure why today it’s giving me such a hard time.
September 5, 2016 at 3:04 am #259884Ok, due to several issues both related to and not related to GeoDirectory, I have decided to go with a different theme. I am trying out MultiNews since there is compatibility for GeoDirectory. However, I can’t seem to figure out why I have the GD Homepage Map showing on my listings.
The large map should not be showing on my listing detail page. I have checked the widgets and there is no reason it should be showing. Can you let me know how to get it off the listing detail page? Other than that, everything else looks great with this theme.
Thanks!
September 5, 2016 at 3:25 am #259885Ok, sorry I keep posting. So the issue I mentioned in my last post seems to be an issue regardless of the theme. I have tried two more themes and the large GeoDirectory homepage map still displays on the listing detail page.

September 5, 2016 at 4:18 am #259897I think you got some conflict with one of your other plugins, or when you moved the site from the other domain to this once you did not update all URLs in the database.
https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPressPaolo might have better ideas when he comes back after the weekend.
September 5, 2016 at 4:30 am #259898All of this was working last night on the development site. This was after I imported the database from the production site. I think i am going to restore the database again and start over and see what happens.
