Hi There, I am using geodirectory with the Supreme directory theme – I am happy with the functionality but I am finding it a little hard to design with. I am using Beaver Builder lite which helps a lot but I cannot apply any of it’s features to Geodirectory pages, only pages I created myself in WordPress. Can you help or direct me to any documentation dealing with design?
Alternatively, is there any documentation for integrating with a standard wordpress theme?
thanks
August 10, 2017 at 3:22 pm #390552Hi Andrew,
Could you briefly explain to us what are you trying to achieve there? Perhaps some screenshots and URL’s? Then we will try to guide you further with this.
Thanks!
August 10, 2017 at 3:39 pm #390562No probs. Basically, i am using beaver builder lite in the supreme directory theme. I can work with it in pages that i create my self but on the homepage for example, I can’t drop any of the layout objects or modules to help me design.
site is here
http://www.6770.co.uk/psc-cloned-demoI’ve attached 2 screengrabs – one showing home page and I can’t seem to drop layout elements on the page and the other screengrab is a page i created myself and I can edit and add elements without any issue.
To be honest, I find Beaver Builder a little uninspiring but if that’s the best option I’ll sitck with it. Ideally I’d like to integrate GeoDirectory into a theme I’ve worked with before – like Waxom. Is there any documentation on adding to a theme that’s not part of the GeoDirectory downloads.
thanks Andy
August 10, 2017 at 6:38 pm #390586Make sure you are using a custom home page and not the GD home page.
The GD Home page doesn’t have a content section.
Let us know if that was it, if it wasn’t please provide a link and admin credentials and we will follow up.
Thanks
August 10, 2017 at 6:53 pm #390588yip, that did it thanks. Is there documentation for integrating into other themes? I can live with this theme but keen to look at alternative.
And thanks again for a really speedy reply. I appreciate that.

August 11, 2017 at 2:39 am #390640Hi Andy,
Unfortunately, we don’t have a doc that explains how to integrate GD into custom themes, but it should work out of the box and if not, please let us know and we’ll try our best to help you with this.
Thanks!
August 11, 2017 at 9:39 am #390683Thanks Kor. I cloned the demo site I was working on and installed a new theme I like. The search feature is using shortcodes. I love the look of this now and think I’ll be able to deliver the kind of website my client’s looking for.

The theme is called Waxom and so far, so good… Do you think all the functionality of Geo Directory will be same as with Supreme Directory theme?
Are there any issues I should look out for when using other themes?
kind regards Andy
August 12, 2017 at 2:09 pm #390867Hi Andrew,
I’ve just checked that URL you’ve shared and I’m able to see the issue there. Could you please share WP temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look at the alignment issue? You can post the details here using the private reply option below.

Just checked your homepage and it looks like it is created using VC page builder. Unfortunately, we do not provide support for 3rd party plugins and I’d suggest that you check with the plugin author and see what going there.
Thanks!
August 13, 2017 at 7:33 pm #390976No problem, thanks for looking into it for me.
