Quick question, I am uploading my snippets to my function.php file and have moved this code there. The Supreme theme doesn’t seem to be the normal setup for a child theme. Does this theme get updated? Will I lose my edits there? Normally, a child theme runs along side a parent theme and the only edits are user created. However, there are many files already within the Supreme theme.

Yes it does, you should use the code snippets plugin to avoid losing code added to functions.php after every update.
