    I am trying now to change the css on the google translate widget and text color. I am having the similar results on an earlier request to change css on CPT listing widget.

    I could not find any changes to design css that would affect these things anywhere.

    Not sure I understand. The CSS changes to the .goog-te-combo class are in your child theme’s stylesheet.

    Thank you for your reply. I was able to get the google translate css box to work. But I am still having problems with the CPT css.

    See attached file. The font and the “color” of the font background-color are not “holding”?

    .gd-cpt-widget-list .gd-cpt-wrow .gd-cpt-name {
    font-size: 15px;
    display: block;
    position: absolute;
    bottom: 0;
    left: 0;
    text-align: center;
    width: 100%;
    overflow: hidden;
    white-space: nowrap;
    opacity: 0.7;
    background-color: #04A516;
    color: #fff;
    line-height: 20px;
    }

    When I use firebug I can see the changes as I make them (see pic) but when I copy and past the css style to the theme editor and update they do not hold.

    Hi,

    1st of all you should be repeting all rules that you are not changing.

    The reason why it is not working is because you are adding it to the theme sytle.css while you have the same css somewhere after the child theme style.css. (not sure if in gd>design>scripts>custom css or somewhere else)

    Try this:

    .gd-cpt-widget-list .gd-cpt-wrow .gd-cpt-name {
        background-color: #04a516 !important;
    }

    Thanks
