I have a new site that I’m working on using Beaver Builder and Geo Directory.
Beaver Builder is having an issue of freezing pages so I can’t make changes – and I have a ticket with them for support (Geo Directory is the only other plugin I have besides the Beaver Beuilder Theme and the Beaver Builder Plugin).
Anyway – my problem with Geo Directory is that on my Mac – my pages look fine.
But on Windows and iPad – there is still a GD Top Section and GD Right section even though I have these unchecked in Geo Directory > Design > Home and Listings.
Also – on the IPad I’m getting a signing or signup page – which I have no idea why I would need it or use it… its not showing up elsewhere.
I’m a newby to Geo Directory and it seems great… but having this problem with my site at http://www.ronniesproperties.com
Thanks!@September 20, 2016 at 5:53 am #269200Hi Richard,
Thanks for the thorough explanation. I’ve just checked your Website and I’m not really sure if I’m getting this, are you trying to make the homepage full width? And on iPad, I don’t see any signup page on the homepage. Have you made changes to your Website while waiting for our reply? If not, could you tell us a little bit more about the issue there? Perhaps it would be better if you could provide some screenshots.
Thanks!
September 20, 2016 at 2:03 pm #269536As you see, the page is only showing in the GD content area…
The GD Top section and GD right sidebar (which I think are defaults) are showing.
I’m hoping that there is some setting that I didn’t do correctly – in GD Design, I have unchecked the Top, Right and left sections.
Thanks!

http://ronniesproperties.com/for-sale/Also – these screenshots are taken while I am logged-in to WP – so they should show the WP menu line at the top of the page with Edit, etc. – but that seems to be overwritten with the GD Top section.
September 20, 2016 at 3:50 pm #269675As a test, I just tried creating an entirely new page – and it comes up with the GD top, right, bottom sections with my new page in the content area.
This is made after all the design boxes are unchecked for sections.

September 20, 2016 at 7:27 pm #269943OK – I had activated the GeoDirectory child theme at some point and didn’t think it had taken, since it didn’t show as active on the screen. I switched to Beaver Builder theme and it removed the frames. So the immediate problem seems resolved… but why would using GD Framework auto-add these if the design side has them unchecked? Thanks! Richard
September 20, 2016 at 7:31 pm #269959After I switched to Beaver Builder child theme, I created a new /home-new page to rebuild the home page that seemed ‘frozen’ in Beaver Builder. When I created a blank page – GD content is inserted at the bottom of the page – even though I have not added any GD content.
Is there some GD footer that is being automatically generated whenever a new WP page is created?
Thanks!
Richard
September 20, 2016 at 7:44 pm #269979Since I’m having a problem with BB corrupting my original home page I’ve created the new one including the appended GD content so my client will calm down.
The page referred to about is http://ronniesproperties.com/home-new/ and I have now made this my default home page.September 20, 2016 at 8:09 pm #269992Now that I have switched to BB Theme, when I go to my Listings page I get an Add Listings
HELP!
http://ronniesproperties.com/listings-san-juan-apartment-and-condo-rental/
This page used to go to a BB page that had the map, then 3 widgets with popular content…
Now it goes to Add Listing…I didn’t change anything on the page.
Do you have conflicts with Beaver Builder? Should I just get rid of them completely and see what happens? GeoDirectory is more critical to this project than BB….
If this is the case – do you know of a content builder that is more compatible with Geo Directory?
Thanks!
RichardSeptember 20, 2016 at 9:47 pm #270021OK – now to the ‘sign-in’ issue… when I log-out of my wordpress account – and then navigate to the listings page at http://ronniesproperties.com/listings-san-juan-apartment-and-condo-rental/
I get a sign-in or sign-up screen.
When I was logged-in as wordpress admin, I got the add a listing page referred to in earlier message.
When I am not logged in as wordpress admin, I get this page.September 21, 2016 at 3:17 am #270140With this Beaver Builder template things look even stranger than before…
Since I haven’t heard anything – and I have to make a decision tomorrow….If it looks like a Beaver Builder conflict… can I just remove it and have everything in GD go back to normal?
If I have to reset or reinstall GeoDirectory – will I loose all of my data?
Any way to avoid this?I’ve set up an admin user account for you if you want to go into the site and see what is on the machine…. so we don’t have to wait another 24 hours for more input….
user: GeoDir
pass: d99uM6PRXuyMBk4#GwgC%Im%I need the Geo Directory feature for at least 4 other sites… so if Beaver Builder is the problem, I’ll go back to Headway and build the site using that theme.
