Hi, in order to customise certain phrases and strings we are following your suggestion of using a custom translation file – however the new translations / strings are not showing on the live site.
What we did:
– set the site language to British English
– translated the Geodirectory language file with a geodirectory-en_GB.po file
– copy+pasted all the strings from the US English, default po files other than the 3 strings we would like to change which are:
“Enter Listing Details” -> “Enter Your Details”
“Listing Title” -> “Therapist Name”
“Listing Description” “Therapist Description <br/> <i>’Please state a small description of yourself and what you are offering, inclding pricing and any offers.'</i>”
We checked with the Loco Translate translation plugin and our geodirectory-en_GB.po and mo files are recognised by WordPress as 100% translated and good. But the strings we want changed are still not changed. Could you check and offer some help or provide another way to change these strings, thanks?
