Unable to add multiple locations

Hi – I’ve just installed the multi-directory plugin, activated it and entered the product key. My original default location was London. However, I’m unable to add any location outside of London. I’ve tried adding a location in the ‘Manage Locations’ area (e.g.’Manchester’, ‘Leeds’ and so on). I’ve also tried adding a place outside of London (by going to Places > Add New), and I’ve tried adding another area in the Multilocations > Add/Edit page. However, nothing will ‘take’ outside of London.

Also, although the plugin asks for city, region, country, I would like to be able to list areas by county (not city) – please could you advise how this is done?
