Hello everyone,
I thought i would post a wee update to let you know what’s been going on and what’s coming next.
Templates:
We have been working on major changes to the way the Core GD handles templates, the aim of this is to allow any theme to be made very compatible with just a few lines of code or even just an extra small plugin if it’s a popular theme. This will let GD use the theme’s own html wrappers and make everything fit nice. This has taken a long time but we are happy with the results, user’s won’t notice much change but developer will be able to move things about pages through hooks and filters etc.Icons:
We are also adding support for fontawesome most icons have been replaces with these and you can replace any icons with anything u prefer or still use images if you really want.WPML:
We recently officially became WPML compatable: http://wpml.org/plugin/geodirectory/
We are working on easier ways to translate addons and also working on any core WPML bugs that have been reported.Events:
Events has had a little overhaul and now has better display of dates in all places even in map popups.Other addons:
Most addons have had small changes and bug fixes as well as some improvements, these will be release shortly after CORE is releasedFuture Addons:
We have started several addons which most of them have been put on hold until Core templates are finished and released. We have a import tool that will import places or events from facebook, including location, images and everything, places can also be imported from yelp and we hope to add more after the initial release.Release times:
We are finished with the core template changes and have tested all addonsd and GeoDirectory Framework (GDF), we will be doing some final bug testing and WPML changes tomorrow and hopefully with releasing new versions either tomorrow or the start of next week. Thanks for you patience everyone!
Stiofan, Paolo and Vikas

June 6, 2014 at 12:07 am #3678Please ensure that the signup and sign in have a little overhaul as well.
At least so they have their own page… As opposed to using the homepage.I am using Avada, with a homepage slider. And my sign up sign in, end up going under my HUGE slider. Users have to scroll down to see this.
Also The user profile pages. User Account Page. User etc Need to be readily accessible pages. So we can customize with sidebars as needed. LOL.
The Paypal issue with subscription and free trial should be fixed as well.
I believe these are IMMEDIATE needs. 🙂
I have attached a screen shot for your perusal.
In the meantime, any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
June 6, 2014 at 12:51 am #3681Thank you, Paolo. It’s about time to have geolocation as the name GeoDirectory implies.
June 6, 2014 at 1:14 pm #3706Sounds great! Will the Geotheme to Geodirectory import tool be included with these updates?
Thanks!
June 6, 2014 at 1:26 pm #3709@nitefader the paypal free trial ug is fixed and will be in the next version.
@montey that will be our next priority after this release.

Stiofan

June 7, 2014 at 11:32 am #3771Is it possible to ad an info window for admins to see if a new subscriber has set up a spot. I have many custom post types, to check which spot is on draft or not is a bit nasty 😉
best

June 7, 2014 at 5:26 pm #3780We’ll considering building a dashboard addon with statistics and links to drafts to be approved…
Thanks for the suggestionUPDATE
we could simply fork this and add support for custom post type.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-drafts-and-reviews-dashboard-widget/faq/I’ll have a look into it to see how hard it would be…
