I’ve had this a few times over recent weeks with uploading various things and them not showing on the live site once i’ve logged out, and it is SO frustrating.

I have changed my site header image under customize > header image and saved it. No issues with the image all the right size and have saved changes. On the site preview when logged in via ‘visit site’ it shows it perfectly with the new image but when i log out and go to the site it shows the same old header image. I’ve tried refreshing, re-loading and re-saving the new one and deleting my browser history on my web in case that was the issue but its just not there.

When i log back in and go back to customize > header image it shows the new one as the one on there… I have tried deleting and re-adding it and it still shows the old one once i log out. It did the same the other day when i was trying to upload an advertising banner via HTML text box in the side bar widgets.

Seems odd that i’d had this several times now when uploading images- should they not change straight away and be visible on the ‘live’ site to all users if it shows on my site preview. If i delete any header image ‘hide image’ it shows the site with no logo, just the heading title, but even when i re-upload the new image it still shows the old one. Any ideas as its really annoying and I’ve wasted this afternoon trying to sort it out!

    Thanks

Site is http://www.liverylist.co.uk- attached images show how i see the site once changes are saved with new header image (saying it has saved and showing on preview) and the second picture is when i logged out straight after and it shows the old header still!

    Hi Cherly,

This sounds like a cache issue. Could you please clear the Website cache and also temporary deactivate it while you work on your Website?

    Thanks!

As a follow on i searched this issue and tried some some suggested solutions but still did not work-

I have deleted all headers images ever uploaded (including all versions of the new and original one) both from the Customize > Header page, and have deleted them from the media library.

I have then re-uploaded the new header image again and saved but now STILL brings up the old one when i log out even though this is now not even available in the media library…

    Hi,

Did you clear the GD Booster cache? Without checking the back end that would be my 1st guess.

If you provide admin credentials we can have a better look.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

Yes, sorry my reply crossed over with the first response from Kor. I have cleared the GD Booster cache and that seems to have solved it. Thank you
