I was able to upload my list of a few hundred places just fine.
Next I removed them all and updated my spreadsheet and 1/2 of my listings have an image specified.
When I upload NONE of them show an image??? I confirmed when I exported the places and nothing.
Now if I upload 10 listings ALL with images it works.
Is there a limitation if you use the IMAGE column that ALL listings must have an image?
We are “attempting” to create a master .csv file with all listings. Some with post content, some not, some with images, some not and then upload and contact the business owners to claim their listings.
Or is there a better import tool to populate the DB?
April 27, 2016 at 5:08 pm #180168Hi,
in the CSV you should only specify the file name of the image (not a URL) and after importing the CSV the script tells you were to upload the files via FTP.
Is that what you did?
If yes, please provide a copy of the CSV that you are trying to import, a link and admin credentials and we’ll let you know what the problem is.
Thanks
April 27, 2016 at 5:17 pm #180173Yes I specified the image(not a url), per my post my test of 10 listings worked
Yes I uploaded to the directory and my test worked so I know it’s working. So then I uploaded 574 listings but only 400 had images…
After import completed none of them had an image and the export confirmed.
It’s like the entire column needs to be blank or some image needs to be listed… is that correct or should it not matter?
April 27, 2016 at 5:25 pm #180175it should not matter, image is not a mandatory field, so if there is it should import it and if there isn’t it should do nothing.
April 27, 2016 at 10:14 pm #180475Can you check again that you uploaded the images to the correct folder after importing the CSV file, it is a separate process. See https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#images
When you finished uploading your CSV file, you need to upload your images by FTP into the upload folder for the current month; the folder location will be in this format:
/wp-content/uploads/year/month, for example /wp-content/uploads/2014/11April 28, 2016 at 3:04 pm #181168This reply has been marked as private.April 28, 2016 at 4:04 pm #181198Update: I was able to find the 2 invalid characters so now I can successfully import the 574 listings and I get the message to upload images but the images are not stored on the import.
I exported the 574 and the image column was blank?
I copy/pasted into the exported list and filled in each blank to make sure there were no blanks.
I was able to update the listings and now the photos show.
I’m going to test but I’m seeing if you use the IMAGE field you cannot have any blanks.

I’m really sorry for the late reply, if you provide FTP details our developers will update our patch that debugs logs for listing that causes error.
Let us know,
Thanks
