So two issues have arisen today. Contacted by several advertisers to advise when they try to log in they are unable to. Have tested and they are correct. You enter log in details, click ‘sign in’ and nothing happens. Just refreshes to the same page with the login text still in the entry boxes but not actually logging in.

When I then went to my admin account to ensure everything is up to date i was advised of plugins to be updated (which I do regularly) i selected to update all as normal and with several of the GD plugin updates I got this message:

“An error occurred while updating GeoDirectory Advance Search Filters: Download failed.”

It is the same for GD Booster, GD Advanced Search Filters, GD Custom Post Types, GD Location Manager, GD Payment Manager, GD Re-Captcha, GD Rating REview Manager…

Any idea if these are linked or why they would be saying unauthorised as I’ve been able to update other GD plugins today?

    Many thanks

    Hi Cheryl,

Thanks for your post. Could you please try deactivating and activating your license key and see if it fixes the auto-update issue? In the meantime, kindly share your WP admin access and also a sample client login access in private reply so that we could replicate the “login issue”.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the reply Kor. I have deactivated and reactivated the licence keys for the affected plugins and this seems to have resolved both issues (i realise now it had also blocked payments on the site as well). Log in issue also now resolved. Not sure why but reactivating the licence keys seems to have done the trick. Will keep an eye on it and if any more problems shall let you know.

I had the same problem with plugin uppdates! It was with one site only, another was ok. I’m about to sort it but thought that Support should know it wasn’t just one person who experienced this. I just checked to see if anyone else had experienced this issue, which they have.

Ok, thanks for letting me and them know Sue- seemed odd as a series if blips with the GD for no apparent reason. Luckily two users messaged me about both problems otherwise I’d have had no idea but it could still have been like it for days before i found out!

An Update will be released for WP Easy Updates to address some issues. Make sure to update it when you have a moment.

Thanks, Alex. It was odd that it was just one GD site. I’ve sorted it now and will await the next update.
    All the best,
    Sue

FYI. Yes I did! After doing the updates I found some of my Event settings had been lost. No events were showing under ‘Events’ and the Add Event link was going to the Homepage. A quick look at your documentation solved the latter. (Allow post type to add from frontend.)

All were sorted in GD>Design>Navigation, they all had just ‘place’ selected, not event as well. I’m not sure I have it all as it was but things seem to be working ok now. Weird. I can’t remember exactly how it was, where I had place and event selected, but it’s common sense. If I find anything else it will be an ‘event’ missing. Maybe everywhere I have ‘place’ I should also have ‘event’.

I did do a full backup before all these GD updates in case. 😉
    Thanks.
    Sue
