Users diverted to wrong page to view account…

    I’ve had a user email this evening and say that when they have tried to view their listings, it does not show their account. Having checked with my own test account i can see that when users are logged in and trying to access ‘My Listings’ > ‘Yards’, they are in fact directed to a page listing the blog articles. The page title shows in the tab as being named ‘profile’, yet the link to the page seems to be correct (https://www.liverylist.co.uk/profile/voxit/listings/yards/). I am unsure how it is now linking to this other incorrect page and the users are unable to view their accounts. I have been doing some work to other pages, but creating new ones and should not have had any effect (knowingly) on existing pages and links to account. The other user links (to add a listng or view invoices) is working as normal.

    Any help appreciated as at the moment users cannot access their listings and i’m not sure what i’ve done to rectify it!

    Hi Alex,

    Thanks for this. The site has had the same set up since 2014 and nothing should have changed! I’ve never even seen those pages as all was set up by the original web developer!

    Could this have been caused by an update? I notice now I’ve reset it all, it is not showing in the same format as previously? Before is showed the thumbnail image on the left, with the blurb in the middle and the ‘renew’, ‘edit’ etc buttons to the right. Is there a way to make it into this format again as it looks quite clunky how it is now?

    Now I am also looking at these settings, I have another question. When a new user registers, they should (as per the settings) be sent to the ‘our advertising packages’ page. Once they register, they get directed to a page to then login, but once logged in they are redirected to a page to edit their account, rather than the selected page? Why does this not redirect users to the selected page once logged in?

    Please share a link to the page you are talking about and we will see what we can suggest for that.

    Why does this not redirect users to the selected page once logged in?

    Registration redirect is set in the “Registration” tab in Users WP

    Thanks for the reply. I can not send a link as to view account you’d need to be logged in (or you can log in as per the above provided details). Instead, I have attached a screen grab of a users view of their listing when logged in as shown on the profile page. It says ‘LiveryList’ (my account name) twice, and I cannot see where the setting would be to amend what is shown here or why it has it twice. You will see that it also shows ‘Status’ twice under the listing which I assume is an error?

    I have now resolved the redirect registration issue thank you.

    I also notice when users register, there is no longer the ‘I am not a robot’ option on the registration or logging in forms. This checkbox has completely disappeared. As advised, I have not and never have made any changes to the UsersWP pages or even ever looked at the UsersWP section of the settings, all these things seem to have disappeared and changed overnight! If you could please advise where to reinstate that would be great as I cannot see the option to add in any of the registration or login tabs on the UsersWP. Thanks

    I assume the double name is from the display of username and name, two different fields.
