I add the short code in a block on the login page [gd_login_box], but it shows up text. What am I doing wrong?

Are you using V2? That shortcode is not valid in V2, only in V1.
V2 uses the standard WP login and registration, but with UsersWP you can customize the user registration and dashboard experience:
