    Hi

Is it possible to use the translation file to modify the country name that appears in the URL slug, but leaving the country name as it stands when used elsewhere such as in the address displayed on detail pages etc?

For example, could the country slug ‘united-states’ in the URL be translated to ‘us’, but leaving the country as United States elsewhere.

When I look at the PO file, United States appears only once which makes me think that this is global for everything, including the the URL slug. Is there any kind of workaround possible?

    Thanks

I thought that might be the case.

I don’t know anything about Yoast, but I wonder whether it could be set up in some way to rewrite the URLs with the shortened country slug?

If not, maybe I’ll have to use the jobs section to find someone who can modify the code in some way.

    Many thanks

There is no plugin that will help doing that out of the box. It would require a major customization of the plugin.

    Thanks
