So just to let everyone know…

I’ve been bouncing between an older site I have setup using GeoDirectory v1 and a newer test site I just setup 3 days ago using GeoDirectory v2…so here is what I’ve come to determine being the cause of both versions crashing.

Up til today, v1 was working without issue (make note of this)! Meanwhile, my test site using v2 has had nothing but issue after issue and crashes (404 & 500 Errors).

So for the last 3 days I’ve spent 16 to 18 hours per day focusing on getting v2 setup, operable and user-friendly…only to keep running in to issues and crashes (and possibly 50 support requests).

Thanks to Alex and Paolo for their persistence and great work, I decided to focus my attention on my other stable website using GD v1 to see if I could just continue using it until all crashes and issues get worked out. Great idea exept…bloody hell!…it turns out that the use of GeoMarketPlace plugin seems to be the center of all the crashes and issues!

I personally received the v2 GeoMarketaPlace update directly from the developer 2 days ago and have had nothing but issues and crashes.

So 2 hours ago, I redirect my attention to my stable v1 site and try to activate and setup the GeoMarketPlace plugin only to immediately start having my site crashing and not performing normally.

So I feel it needs to be known that we may have a compatibility issue with GeoMarketPlace plugin not being compatible with v1 or v2.

I did reach out to the plugin developer at 7am this morning and he was polite enough to tell me that they will be able to address my issues on Monday morning when they return.

Someday I wish I will have the luxury of taking off weekends!
