V2 Starter Issues

    Hi,

    Am building a new site with V2 in a multisite environment, when I look at Add Listing in the backend I don’t see all of the fields I need to create the listing….it just looks like a normal page with categories and tags at the side. Needless to say adding a listing fails. Have I done something wrong?

    Also I don’t get a GD_Home page on the subdirectories…is this normal?

    You should not network activate any of the GD plugins, they need to be activated on a site per site basis.

    I still don’t see a GD Home page.

    Question: I suppose all the snippets I’ve written for V1 aren’t transferrable?

    Are there any example snippets for V2?

    I want to replicate detail page like this https://virtualweddingvenues.com/places/united-kingdom/west-berkshire/hungerford/conference_centres/sheepdrove-organic-farm-and-eco-conference-centre/

    Hello Mark,

    We have only one snippet for V2, for customizing the address. Later a tool will be created for that.

    All the GDV2 shortcodes are new, and you can find them and their descriptions in the shortcode builder, which is accessible from a classic editor in the backend.

    GDV2 does not have a “GD Home” page. If you need a Static Front page for your site it is not supported to use any of the GD pages.

    GDV2 gives you control over the Detail page layout through templates that can be edited. See this for more information: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/page-design/

    To add a listing you can use the admin bar and the +Place link or go to the /add-listing/ page on the frontend.
