I am not seeing video on details page. I added the link from a YouTube video share option: https://youtu.be/Xr0Opvabr28
and a youtube embed option:
<iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/Xr0Opvabr28″ frameborder=”0″ allow=”autoplay; encrypted-media” allowfullscreen></iframe>Neither shows the video on the details page: https://visitshelby.com/attractions/earlscruggscenter/
There isn’t an option to “Show in extra output location” for details page, only sidebar.
I even tried shortcode and there only appears to be a way to tab or show list.

Use the tabs UI if you want to show it in a tab. You can drag and drop it to show under a different tab, if that is what you are looking for.
October 10, 2018 at 10:41 pm #449273Thanks, I definitely don’t want the video(s) to be in the sidebar.
I don’t know what tabs ui is, what is that and what do I do?
October 11, 2018 at 6:35 am #449298Tabs UI is at
GeoDirectory – CPT (Places) – Settings – Tabs
You can drag and drop items. For example, you could click Video on the left. That will place the video into it’s own tab on the right. Then drag the video item on the right so it is ‘under’ another tab.

October 11, 2018 at 10:30 am #449314I’m curious, is there a way to place the video above the tabs? Maybe using the shortcode? I see Post Images shortcode but not video.
As a videographer I’m all about getting video in front of people as much or even more than photos. The tab section is great for things like profile description, reviews, map, etc… and I would like to keep the profile description first for the tab section.
Tab view is great also when there’s a lot of images. So I may like to keep everything in tab view and just have the video outside of tab view, maybe above it. So, it would be cool to have a shortcode for video/custom field.
October 11, 2018 at 12:49 pm #449322The CPT template would need to be edited.

October 11, 2018 at 3:37 pm #449341As alex said u can use the post meta, you can also make the tabs a list instead if u wanted.

October 11, 2018 at 5:19 pm #449358Thanks, i know about list, but i may like to use tabs and have the video above the tabs or maybe even at the top.
Is the post meta just short code? It looks like I need to spend some time on this design elements page. I probably would have some time ago but there was bad links going to/from it that have since been resolved.
I noticed it says “In the example above it us key’ed to the video field.” that’s reading kind funny. Just FYI.
I’ll try and spend some looking over this documentation. Thanks again for everything!
October 12, 2018 at 11:36 am #449442The GD post meta is a shortcode, block and widget and will try and output any of the post meta, in some cases its best to use specific shortcode/widget to output the info like for the images.
