Website lagging badly

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Hi,

    Our website http://www.welovehousesitting.com is lagging really bad and we’re unable to add/edit widgets and view photos with ease. The round timer simply keeps going round and round – its trying but getting nowhere.
    Guust has previously suggested that it may be a conflict between plugins. We have removed all plug ins we are not using, and just deactivated floating facebook plugin which we recently added. Everything else is as it has been for a long time.
    The events calendar is also not loading on the front end.

    Any suggestions?

    I don’t see any particular long wait on the front end, have you tried clearing browser cache?. If you want us to look at the back end, please provide credentials.

    If you want us to look at the back end, please provide credentials. Guust is most likely sleeping now. Please do not wait for us to ask them again or go look for them in older topics or ask for them to another moderator. Please always provide credentials directly.

    this dashboard query is returning 500 Internal Server Error: http://www.welovehousesitting.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=dashboard-widgets&widget=dashboard_primary&pagenow=dashboard

    This one in the widgets page: http://www.welovehousesitting.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?_widgets_nonce=b929ce386d

    Seems like any ajax call is failing. This is a question to direct to your server admin though.

    I believe GD has nothing to do with it.

    We will contact our server admins and tell them what you told us. We did run an error log yesterday after trying to move a couple of widgets and came back with a lot of access errors (see attachment)
    Not sure if this is something you have seen already whilst doing checks or not.

    Paolo,

    Just want to say thank you very much for looking into the problems for us. Your last comment meant we could go back to our server admin with a better idea of what the problem may be.
    They have very promptly addressed the problem and fixed it by increasing the memory limit allowed to php scripts to 256Mb. On first check, this seems to have fixed all problems.
