All of a sudden i am seeing this new page, which has errors on it http://vapestores.com/directory/me/ being seen by many visitors, I never noticed this page before, and now its getting a lot of hits., and it has errors which i dont even know where to go to fix them.
December 19, 2014 at 9:57 pm #25083Hi Bob,
the “me” page is the page created by the GeoLocation new features.
Basically it will show all listing within the radius you define from the user’s shared location.
The errors you see I think are due to GD Booster not properly configured.
In another post of yours I was suggesting to disable it until Stiofan can have a look at it for you.
Thx
December 19, 2014 at 11:35 pm #25098Disabled the booster, the /me page still does not work. Dont know where to even try to modify the sidebars.
December 19, 2014 at 11:50 pm #25099Hi,
there was a typo in the avada compatibility plugin, I’ve fixed it.
Now the only problem is that the sum of the 3 columns + margins is higher than 100%.
That’s why the 3rd sidebar is pushed down.
Thx
December 20, 2014 at 12:44 am #25103Thanks Paolo,
Why is this margins issue only happening on this page from what i see. The sidebars are reversed too btw, the left sidebar is showing on the right and vice versa. Where am i supposed to go to adjust the margins and sidebars, for This page, others seem to work fine?
Do you expect to have the next version ready soon? I am worried about the effect of errors having on seo and user satisfaction. I don’t even know where to look to check if changes occurred correctly in new version, or what to look for. I was very excited about the “big improvements”, but right now im feeling very nervous about if things really got improved, sorry to be like this.
December 20, 2014 at 12:58 am #25104The ME page should be using the GD HOME setup.
Sidebar settings should be used in Theme Options of Avada.
Probably the best idea is to get John to have a look at the compability plugin again before making any adjustments. I remember the 3 column to be quite tricky, and it is only a recent addition to Avada.December 20, 2014 at 1:10 am #25106Before I read this reply, i went to gd design options ->search- and made values smaller(less than 100), did not fix issue. But now the home page sidebars are doing this problem and they were not doing this before. I will not change more and see what ideas you have after some time to look at issue.
Also, I have noticed that my server resources seem to be higher now for cpu usage, both physical and RAM memory, as well as input processes. Something might be looping and causing the server to work more maybe?
Thank you
December 20, 2014 at 1:16 am #25107If your theme has options to set sidebar widths, you should use them, not the GD design ones (they should not work anyway).
I have alerted John to this topic, you might have to post your admin details for him.December 20, 2014 at 1:19 am #25108My widths are the same for both wpgeo design and avada theme, they are all the same.
-> Also note the search bar is now not centered and is starting from left margin.
My login details are same as last posts of mine, let me know if you need again.
Thanks
