Hi. I am looking for the most suitable place to improve the SEO of the categories and I have a doubt about which part I have to put the text with Keywords so that my site is one of the first in the results of Google search and also the post thumbnails of the categories. Which is the most suitable place ?, as I express it with the following image:

    null

I also want to know if the post thumbnails, for categories has some recommended size?

Thank you very much for any response.

    Hello,

The automated SEO features are in Geodirectory Titles & Meta. These settings make sure all the Locations and Categories have some information:

    Geodirectory – Titles & Meta

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-core-plugin-titles-metas/

Next is Categories. For each category add the Top Description, and then add more information as desired for Category+Location. These are not “Posts” but it is possible to Add Media.

Places (CPT) – Categories – Edit Category – Category Top Description

Next is Location. The location related fields in the Categories are in addition to the Location Description fields in the Location manager Addon. You can find the SEO Settings at:

    Geodirectory – Multilocations – SEO Settings – Country/Regions/Cities SEO

    Thanks Alex for your answer.
Although my question is: In what place is it better to put the description of the categories?
My wish is that the description of the categories is well optimized with keywords. And my question is: where should I put that description? In the place that says:
    Description or
    category top description?
As I show in the image.

These are two different fields for different purposes.

The “Description” field in the category description will be used as the meta category description.

The “Category Top Description” is for display on the front-end on category archive pages.

Thanks for your reply again Alex. Just one more question: Is there a possibility to add Rich Snippet to the Meta description of Categories and CPT, for example I have put an image in the meta decripction of the CPT, hoping it will look like a Rich Snippet in google. Will this be possible?

    Hope Rich Snippet

It would be a bit complicated to do that as you would have to pull the image from the text, but there is a filter that would let you do it if you have the PHP skills.

Thank you very much Alex and Stiofan for your answers, I will continue studying the possibility of doing it more slowly, for the moment I am very satisfied with your support. Thank you very much.
