    It was working for a split second, but now I can’t even get into the website via WordPress. I’m getting this error;

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home1/planetxp/public_html/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-functions/helper_functions.php on line 831

    Hosting company is wanting to know if there are specific requirements that are needed for this theme and plugin. It seems to be the GeoDirectory plugin is causing all of the issues.

    Bluehost tech support told me they upgraded it to PHP 7, but when I look in cPanel it shows that it is running PHP 5.6.29. I’m not sure why you’r showing 5.2.17. Which is correct? Perhaps what you’re looking at has not been updated yet.

    Was the webserver restarted after the change?

    I’ve tried everything, the hosting company has tried everything and everything still is pointing to an issue with the GeoDirectory plugin. Any suggestions?

    Unfortunately, this plugin is required to run the theme and my site has been down for nearly 2 weeks. I don’t know what to do.

    It looks like is working now, the fatal error is no longer there.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

    Is there an old version of js_composer in one of the themes or child themes. Bluehost is telling me that they think that is causing the issue.

    Considering that +10k websites are not experiencing any of these problems, I’d tend to suspect the problem is 100% server related and GeoDirectory has nothing to do with any of these… However I asked to Stiofan to answer to your last question

    In my hosting account, it says that I’m using 5.6.29. When I try to go in and update the PHP, it says that I have to contact tech support to have them change it.

    Any recommendations on a new hosting company. Bluehost sucks.
