What's the best way to mark a business closed/out of business?

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    What’s the best way to mark a business closed/out of business?

    I don’t want to delete/remove a listing. I want to leave it intact with the history of reviews, etc.

    Have I overlooked the option for this?

    HI,

    there is no option for this.

    If you don’t want to put it in draft or delete it, you should probably add a note in the profile and maybe in the Time field to say that the business is closed/out of business.

    Is there a method to hook into custom fields so that I could wrap some conditional logic around things and display a closed banner if the value of a custom field exists?

    You can use this hook: https://github.com/GeoDirectory/geodirectory/blob/d8860ae4fc02557ac6c05dbe0e0ea0735541f968/geodirectory-templates/listing-listview.php#L116

    You are passed the $post value which will have all the custom field info added to it so you can add your own banner as a conditional.
