Where is the URL validation coming from for the default Website field?

    Hi,

    Where is the validation for the website field coming from if it’s not defined in the field? I’d like to copy it to other url fields too but modified.

    It is in code and applied automatically to URL fields so as to require http:// or https:// before the rest of the URL.

    The validation field is only available for text and phone fields at this time; applying custom validation to URLs would be a customization outside of what we can help with here in the support forum.

    You might be able to use a text field to do what you want, especially if you can use a GD Post Badge for the output.

    To make a URL field, use a URL field.
