white screen and warnings after setting Geodirectory as the home page

I installed the plugin for the first time, following Basic Installation instruction (http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/basic-installation/).

After setting Geodirectory as the home page, I get a white screen with this:

This occurred when I clicked “Save changes” (to set Geodirectory as the home page). The site seems to work otherwise, however.
