When I upload images in WP that have file meta data already inserted in the file itself, it populates the fields such as caption, description, title etc.

Why do I find I have to key it in all over again when images upload via GeoDirectory? Most of the time the images are untitled and it’s a mess.

    Hi pinkgecko,

Thanks for your post. Usually, WordPress uses the image file name as the title. Could you share your Website WP admin access here in private reply so that we could give it a try?

    Hi pinkgecko,

Thanks for your reply. I’m able to see the issue you had there. Please allow me to forward this to a developer.

For the dev: All images uploaded from GD does not include a title.

    Hello,

Unfortunately GeoDirectory doesn’t currently have this as an option. I have taken this up as a suggestion, and added a few ideas about identifying GeoDirectory listing images in the media library. The developers will consider it for future versions.

    Thanks for the feedback

    Alex

    Hi pinkgecko,

During image upload in add listing we allows to set title & caption for the image. The title set for the image uploaded in add listing is used as a media title for the featured image.

    Let us know.

    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Dear Kiran,

I’m sorry, but what you say is just not happening on my site. As you can see the images have titles and captions allocated to them but display as “(no title)” in the media library. This is a nightmare.

See screenshots below that illustrate this.
Is there a setting that needs to be updated?

    Hi pinkgecko,

It sets title to media title when creating a new entry in media for the listing.

For existing media you can set title from Backend > Media > Edit > Set Title > Save

    Yeah. Right.

You gotta admit that’s a tough workaround hack. I have to do that for 2000 images. Thanks a bunch.
