May 23, 2014 at 5:45 pm #2920Hi, hours of operation is an addon that we have in mind to do.
Currently the Hours field is a static text field.
We’ll keep you posted.
ThxMay 23, 2014 at 5:51 pm #2923Thank you, Paolo. I need this feature too so listings will automatically display if they are currently close or open during certain hours of the day. I think I have seen this in other WP directory themes.
May 23, 2014 at 7:56 pm #29281+ for this add-on
Also online orderingMay 24, 2014 at 12:18 pm #2949check this tabs,
http://diningguide.demodirectory.com/restaurants/tsunami.htmldeals is a nice feature, do you think in near future this can be an add-on?
Why not take some of the nice features of eDirectory for GeoDirectory?
May 29, 2014 at 4:22 pm #3214Hide maps on mobile devices
It would be nice a checkbox in maps widgets for hide maps on mobile devices.
Navegability suffers a lot when there is a map on mobile devices.
May 29, 2014 at 4:55 pm #3224Or if you can lock the map. I have been on so many sites on my phone where you scroll down and then hit the map and you cannot get passed it because you are scrolling the map and not the site. Some have a feature where the map is locked and you click on it to unlock it so that you can scroll the map.
May 29, 2014 at 5:10 pm #3226Yes, locking the map would be great also.
This is a good example: http://uouapps.com/wp/glocal/
That template has good features for inspiration:
- Search filter
- Horizontal icon maps bar
- Browse by Category
May 29, 2014 at 9:39 pm #3240The option is there now to lock the map I guess: allow mouse scroll zoom?
But that does not differentiate between small screens and larger screens. One thing I find annoying is sites that think I am on a mobile phone when I am viewing their site on my tablet. Rather than serving their full site they serve the mobile version, although I have a full screen.
May 30, 2014 at 3:17 am #3274@guust: I agree with your opinion! That would be nice. That way it would be possible to rate e.g. products or home services (without physical address, only phone number, email, etc.).
It would be nice to have the option for the user to not define any address, or just a city, or just a region, or just a country for the listing.

June 4, 2014 at 9:04 am #3551Shortcodes +1
I read the team is already working on it 🙂
Is it possible to provide an estimated date of availability?
Thanks
June 4, 2014 at 6:35 pm #3582The work Stiofan is doing on templates will make it easier to write shortcodes. Writing shortcodes will be 1 of the very next steps. Can’t really give you a date though. Considering all that there is on the plate at the moment, possibly in the next couple of weeks.
ThanksJune 5, 2014 at 3:46 am #3614I am trying to figure out a way to allow any logged in user to upgrade listings. I am trying to make it so they can edit a few fields for free and if they pay a fee (package) they can edit more fields. I have poured through the code and have figured out how to turn the edit on. But that has no payment associated with it.
I thought I could use the payment option with field attributes but that only works for adding a place.
If you can point me to the right place it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks Guys, Howard

That is exactly what the payment plugin is for … (if they made or claimed the listing) … or am I misunderstanding … -
