Has anyone used Woocommerce for the checkout process for a GeoDirectory payment? The rationale for this would be to keep all user transaction history in one location and to use the same gateway and payment options for all transactions between platforms.
Scenario is this:
I sign-up for my listing in GeoDirectory, fill in all the required information, payment step takes me to a Woocommmerce checkout page to complete my transaction.Have you had anyone do this and is there an existing solution that is available?
August 25, 2017 at 3:31 pm #392876Hi Neil,
The rationale for this would be to keep all user transaction history in one location and to use the same gateway and payment options for all transactions between platforms.
That is exactly the point of our Invoicing plugin that GD uses: https://wpinvoicing.com/
Woo is a a heavy and expensive plugin just to take payments, it would slow your site down more and cost more than our Invoicing plugin does.
Hopefully that explains things, if you have any more questions just let me know.
Thanks,
Stiofan
August 25, 2017 at 3:31 pm #392877We already have Woocommerce within the site.
August 25, 2017 at 3:34 pm #392878What do you use it for?

Ok, so lets backtrack and talk about your Invoicing plugin. Have you had anyone use Invoicing for the payment process with Gravity Forms?
Again, scenario being I have a complicated application form that the user fills out and we want to keep all transactions from say Geodirectory and the Gravity Forms in the same place.
August 25, 2017 at 3:47 pm #392883No but i would be interested in knowing more, how would that work exactly?

August 25, 2017 at 3:52 pm #392887So the ultimate goal is to have a customer history audit trail that includes all transaction for each user.
We have product sales, directory listing and course listings that are paid for and the application process has multiple stages that we use Gravity Flow for alongside Gravity Forms.
Ultimately we want everything to go into one payment processing workflow so all the transactions are in one place and can be viewed within the user’s profile. Woocommerce does a good job with this already but the other plug-ins are going to require custom development for this.
Just trying to find the best solution.
August 25, 2017 at 4:03 pm #392889Our other plugin https://userswp.io/ Can show GD listings, invoices and woocommerce purchases and your products (with addons) in the user profile. You get the GD addon free when u visit: https://userswp.io/your-account/
I have never head of gravity flow but it we can find the right hooks then we can create invoices on the fly to send to users.

August 25, 2017 at 4:16 pm #392892What would it take to get WP Invoicing to be used as a payment option for Gravity Forms?
August 25, 2017 at 4:28 pm #392896You could certainly send an invoice when a form is filled in or even send them straight to checkout. I am very interested in working out an addon for this, if you can start a new topic over there i’ll be happy to work on an addon for this: https://wpinvoicing.com/support/forum/invoicing-core-plugin/general-discussion/
Thanks,
Stiofan
August 25, 2017 at 4:34 pm #392899I believe sending to checkout would be the best option then we could take advantage of keeping all the payments in one area. I will setup that Topic.
Thanks.
August 25, 2017 at 4:38 pm #392901Thank you!
August 25, 2017 at 4:41 pm #392904Ok, the topic is all setup.
